QR Code Size for Printing
PRINT QUALITY
QR code size depends on scan distance, print quality, contrast and where the code will be placed. Always test the final printed version before public distribution.
Cards and labels need care
Use enough size and clear space around the QR. Very small codes can fail if printed poorly or placed on curved surfaces.
Distance matters
Larger signs need larger QR codes. Visitors should not need to stand too close or zoom heavily to scan.
Keep dark on light
Dark foreground, light background and a visible quiet zone are safer than low-contrast decorative designs.
Practical print checklist
- Use the Safe PNG for reliable standard printing.
- Do not crop the quiet zone around the QR.
- Test the code after printing, not only on screen.
- Check the QR from the normal viewing distance.
